Information to the local elections
Based on the municipal constitution, a total of 18 Councillors are to be voted: i.e. nine for Wiernsheim and three each for Pinache, Serres and Iptingen.
Due to the application in Wiernsheim of the so-called “false partial district ward election” ratio, which is a special regulation in the local council electoral act in force in Baden-Württemberg, it may however occur that the number of final council seats actually differ from the standard prescribed number. As of the last elections, the Wiernsheim municipal council is constituted by the Mayor plus 20 Councillors, of which ten from the Wiernsheim municipal ward, three from the Pinache municipal ward, three from the Serres municipal ward and four from the Iptingen municipal ward.
Ulrike Romacker in Wiernsheim and Alfred Schüle in Iptingen each won a compensatory seat for the SPD.
